Shots! Holiday parties come with all kinds of bars: dessert bars, liquor bars, chocolate bars... These chocolate shots will work with all three. Sipping chocolate with Grand Marnier infused whipped cream, garnished with fresh orange zest. makes 7-8 servings
4 oz cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons orange liqueur
1 teaspoon white sugar
4 oz Intrigue Sipping Chocolate
8 ounce half & half
1 fresh navel orange
Place a medium sized bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Take the bowl out of the freezer and add heavy cream and sugar.
Whip on high until stiff peaks form; add orange liqueur and whip until incorporated.
Place whipped cream in the fridge until needed.
In a small saucepan, add sipping chocolate and half & half on low heat. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Pour into shot glasses, top with whipped cream and fresh orange zest!
Serve warm or cold, but it is recommended if served right away if you plan to drink it. Otherwise you'll need a spoon. Oh, noooo! LOL
You may use plant-based dairy products. Experiment with ratios by adding a small amount of liquid at a time to achieve optimal consistency. You want the chocolate to be thick but drinkable.
Leftover whipped cream can be used on top of cake, in your coffee, or with a mug of hot cocoa.
