Boozy sauces are a fast, simple way to upgrade a desert. We recommend the boozy chocolate sauce when you have a dry cake or bread, because the sauce will moisten it up and intensify the flavors. Pours well over ice cream.
We have recommendations for what cocoa flavor is ideal for pairing with each booze, but all of our cocoa mixes will work for this regardless of what booze you are working with.
Ingredients:
(6) heaping tablespoons of any of our cocoa mixes
(2) ounces of hot water
(1) ounce of alcohol or liqueur
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a simmer. Turn the heat off.
Add half of the cocoa mix and stir until smooth.
Add the other half of the mix. You may need to add a little more water. The consistency should be like a thick hot fudge sauce. You may need to turn the heat to low to make sure all the sugar has melted and everything is combined and smooth.
Add alcohol of choice, mix to combine.
Pour into storage containers and store in the fridge.
